Be Ye Doers of the Word of God

IMG_5081.PNG

When we become doers of the word overcoming the struggles of life is more sustainable. Right now, if you are in a situation and you don't know where to go from here, spend time with the Lord and read the Word of God. Seek an answer from the Lord through His scriptures. When you learn from the Word of God - apply it. The greatest blessings come from consistent obedience.

To become a doer you must first spend time with the Lord reading the Bible (the word of God). This takes time and much discipline. I will say that once you make the Lord your daily priority you'll see an instant transformation and growth in yourself. He will bless the measure of your faith and the time you spent with Him. You must know that while you are reading the word of god you will gain new revelations and new things will be revealed to you. Once you have these revelations it is a privilege that you begin to apply them in your relationship with Jesus and with those closest to you.

Apply the word. If the Lord shows you scripture and gives you revelations it is always something that you can utilize in your life. So many people get complacent with everything else drowning out the sound of Jesus’ voice and time set aside for daily prayer and daily reading of the word decreases if it even occurs at all. The substance of their prayers becomes low quality, routine, scripted, and disconnected.

The more you study the Word of God the more productive and effective your time studying the Word of God becomes. If you study once every month (for example) it is much harder to apply and make the most out of the time spent with the Lord. Every day is a new day for us to restart and refresh our walk with God.

There is always an increase found in Jesus. Continuously seek him.

Fight the complacency and the depression, we have a ministry and we need to reach the thousands of souls on behalf of Jesus Christ so that they may be with us in Heaven when the time comes.

I would love to hear from you. In the comments below, share with us how you keep your daily time with the Lord. What are your struggles? How do you stay close to Him?

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
— Joshua 1:8

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
— James 1:22-25
