See Love

...for [the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
— 1 Samuel 16:7

God’s view of humanity differs from our view of ourselves and people as a whole. He created all of us equally and loves us all equally. Some individuals have a harder life than others but it’s not to compare the two lives to one another. Each person has a different assignment from the Lord.

There is not one higher or lower than the other. Jesus loves us all. He looks at the condition of our heart. He warns us to keep the word hidden in our hearts. He ministers to us through the Word of God and challenges us to be holy as he is holy. Holiness is what helps us remain obedient to the word of God.

Let’s talk about Kingdom Culture. When you’re baptized you are now a “new creature” in Christ Jesus. The scriptures place emphasis on us being separate from the world and instead of being our old worldly selves we are restored as new spiritual creatures. You are free from the bondage of your differences and are joined with the body of Christ as his bride. We make up one church body, Christians worldwide.

The old saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” People are often deceived by outer appearances. Many people will be challenged with this as they come to Christ based on their upbringing, their viewpoints, and spiritual maturity.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
— Proverbs 21:2

In this day and age, as Christians we have to be careful with our past mindsets and we have to be sure they no longer surface when we’re dealing with our brothers and sisters in the church. We have to look passed tattoos, wardrobe, skin color, all of it. In order for us to love everyone the way Christ commanded us to we must be able to see everyone the way Christ sees them.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.
— Luke 6:37

I once met a young man from Brazil. He had dreads, tattoos everywhere including tattoos on his face. He had a very rough appearance difficult to look at and hard for me to relate to him. Understand something important, this man of God can reach an entirely different set of lost souls than I can. I cannot even think of reaching the people he can reach. The people who are homeless, on the streets, in gangs, selling drugs - these are the people he is able to appeal to with the loving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And on the other hand, he may have trouble reaching women who struggled as single mothers, domestically violent relationships, and woman self-worth issues the way I can. This is what I mean by different assignments.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
— John 3:16

There are churches that have a mostly White members, mostly African American members, mostly Hispanic members, etc. For example, the condition of their heart will show through when it’s an all African American congregation and a White person comes in different from them all. Understand that the church that welcomes all walks of life they are a true church. If you aren’t Jewish then you are a gentile under the grace of the Lord.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
— John 13:34
