One Thing at a Time

As a single mother of two daughters, I know how overwhelming life can be. From keeping the house clean to making sure the bills are paid - it’s all on me.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
— Philippians 4:13
  • Recently I returned to school to obtain a license and it’s three nights per week at a physical location and two nights a week from home. It’s very tough.

  • Church is on Sunday, Tuesday and sometimes Friday and it’s been increasingly difficult to make it to each service.

  • Prayer and Reading the Bible at home.

  • Quality time with my oldest daughter.

  • My photography business.

  • Cooking

  • Cleaning

  • Writing my books.

  • The list goes on and on. Sigh.

  • and what is sleep?

I lose sleep over bills mostly. There’s nothing more stressful to me than accounts being unpaid and increasingly becoming delinquent especially when money is tight.

Let me tell you what helps me. My relationship with Jesus has been my number one solution. We have to bring ourselves to trust him with everything, including our finances.

When you’re stretched thin on time (like me) how do you get everything done? (No really I want to know any tips you have - you can comment below)

The best advice I can give, from my own personal experience is to take one step at a time. Write a list of everything that needs to be done, set a goal for the tasks, and each day tackle one thing at a time. If it’s overwhelming this is the best way to get it done. It feels so good to mark it as completed.

It will get easier as time goes on. Once everything is marked off of your original list you might add some new tasks to complete. The best thing about it is you’re moving forward.

I believe in you to accomplish it all.
